On Wednesday at 11 a.m., Delhi Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot will submit the Union Territory Budget.
Gahlot will provide the budget for the first time. Manish Sisodia had already presented all eight prior budgets.
Sisodia was recently arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi’s excise policy (GNCTD).
On Monday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the Government had put the Delhi government’s budget on hold only a day before it was due to be presented in the Assembly.
According to sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Centre has asked clarification on the Aam Aadmi Party government’s expenditure on ads before clearing the presentation of the Budget.
