A fire erupted at a warehouse storing agricultural pesticides in the Medchal Malkajgiri district of Telangana, according to officials. The fire occurred on Monday evening.
Upon notification, five fire engines were dispatched to the location and extinguished the flames.
District Fire Officer (DFO) Nageshwar Rao reported that the fire started at the Srikara Biotech agriculture pesticides storage facility in Nacharam, Medchal Malkajgiri district. The warehouse’s security personnel alerted the Fire Department about the fire last night.
The incident resulted in property damage but no casualties, the officer mentioned.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. More information is expected to be released.
In a related incident on February 20, a fire in the Karimnagar region of Telangana destroyed around 20 huts, according to a fire service official. The fire, which broke out at approximately 10:50 am, caused several gas cylinders to explode, stated Karimnagar District Fire Officer (DFO), T Venkanna.
