Officials in Morbi, Gujarat, reported a fire outbreak at a plastic factory near Rafaleeshwar, with no casualties confirmed thus far.
The Municipal Corporation’s fire department received notification of the blaze at the Vinayak Corporation factory on Wednesday, resulting in extensive damage to the facility.
Despite efforts, the fire, which began between 1 and 2 pm on Wednesday, persisted until 2:00 am on Thursday. Currently, firefighting teams from Morbi, Wankaner, and Rajkot are collaborating to extinguish the flames.
Devendra Singh Jadeja, Fire Officer of the Morbi Municipality’s Fire Department, stated, “The fire originated in a plastic factory and exacerbated due to strong winds. Another nearby factory, Pawanputra Industries, also caught fire as a result. Our teams are working diligently to contain the situation.”
The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined pending further investigation.
