Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral talk with his United Kingdom counterpart Rishi Sunak on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Japan. PM Modi is in Hiroshima at the invitation of the Japanese PM Fumio Kishida to attend the G7 summit from May 19 to May 21.

According to ANI, the Prime Minister began his day by visiting the Peace Memorial Museum, where he observed the documented exhibits and signed the visitor’s book. He paid tribute to the memory of Hiroshima victims.

PM Modi also had a brief conversation with Australian PM Anthony Albanese, according to the news agency.

On his visit to Hiroshima, PM Modi talked about India and Japan’s relationship with Kishida. They also discussed ways to synergize the efforts of their respective G 20 and G 7 Presidencies.

The G7 Summit is held annually for the G7 member states including France, the US, the UK, Germany, Japan, Italy, Canada, and European Union. Japan has invited leaders from Australia, Brazil, Comoros, Cook Islands, India, Indonesia, South Korea, and Vietnam.
