Giriraj Singh Accuses INDI Alliance of Plotting Congress’s Demise

Union Minister and BJP leader Giriraj Singh criticized the INDIA alliance, alleging it was driven by “selfish motives” rather than shared political interests. Singh stated that the alliance lacked a common ideology or policy, with disparate regional partners. He expressed skepticism about the Congress benefiting significantly from aligning with these regional parties.

Addressing the ongoing seat-sharing talks among INDIA partners for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Singh predicted a minimal allocation for the Congress. “The Congress will get just 10 percent of the total tickets, as per my estimation,” he stated. Asserting that the Congress would be politically marginalized in the elections, Singh accused the INDIA alliance of plotting to diminish the Congress’s influence in key states.

The seat allocation discussions within the INDIA alliance have become a contentious issue, especially in the aftermath of the Congress’s significant defeats in the recent assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. The outcome of these talks will play a crucial role in determining the political landscape leading up to the Lok Sabha polls.
