The Central Government has formally dismissed Puja Khedkar, a former IAS trainee, from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) due to allegations of fraudulently passing the UPSC civil services examination.

Issuing order, it said “the Central Government discharges Ms Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, IAS Probationer (MH:2023), from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under Rule 12 of IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954, with immediate effect.”

Earlier on July 31, the UPSC revoked Khedkar’s candidacy and imposed a ban on her participation in any future examinations.

Khedkar, who was serving as a probationary IAS officer in Maharashtra, had her anticipatory bail plea contested by both the UPSC and Delhi Police.
