Union Minority Minister Kiren Rijiju introduced the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, in the Lok Sabha. This bill aims to amend the Waqf Act of 1995, with the goal of more effectively addressing concerns regarding the authority of State Waqf Boards and the Central Waqf Council, as well as improving the registration and survey of Waqf properties and tackling encroachments.
Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju will introduce a new bill in the Lok Sabha to amend the Waqf Act, 1995.
