According to Jammu and Kashmir police, one Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist member was apprehended on Wednesday along Canal Road Aloosa Bandipora with one live Chinese grenade and 12 live AK-47 rounds.
Bandipora police, working with the 26 AR and the third Bn Central Reserve Police Force, organised the operation, according to the police. The police said that a complaint has been registered at Bandipora police station under the relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Police claimed earlier on April 3 that rifles and ammunition, including hand grenades, were recovered near the Vijaypur region of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the police, information concerning one suspicious object was received, and officers hurried to the scene.
Among the items discovered were firearms, grenades, and magazines.
The discovery of a suspected packet came a day after a blast in a private car on Boulevard road in Srinagar on Sunday, causing alarm among those around, according to police. According to police, no one was hurt. According to the authorities, the blast appears to have been caused by equipment failure.
