The Delhi Police detained two’suspicious’ men and confiscated two hand grenades from their home in the national capital’s Bhalswa Dairy neighbourhood of Jahangirpuri.
The two men, identified as Jagjit Singh (29) and Naushad (56) by the Delhi police Special Cell, were apprehended on Thursday. On Friday, they appeared in Patiala House Court and were remanded in police custody for 14 days.
During the suspects’ questioning, police claimed they raided their rented residence in Shradha Nand Colony under the Bhalswa Dairy police station boundaries on Friday under relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and found the hand grenades.
The suspects also had three firearms and 22 live rounds, according to the police.
A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) crew also went to the residence and took blood samples.
According to reports, the suspects killed someone in the residence and then transmitted a video of the death with their handler.
The police stated that they were investigating who was slain.
Furthermore, Delhi Police stated that it has information linking Jagjit Singh to Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dall.
According to city police, he is reportedly a part of the infamous Bambiha gang and has received orders from anti-national elements stationed abroad. Police also stated he is a parole jumper in a murder case in Uttarakhand.
