A boiler explosion occurred at a factory in Rewari, Haryana, resulting in multiple injuries to workers on Saturday evening of March 16. The incident, reported by Civil Surgeon Dr. Surender Yadav, took place in the Dharuhera area of the city.
Dr. Yadav informed that approximately 40 individuals sustained injuries, with one patient in critical condition being referred to Rohtak. The explosion, which happened at the ‘Life-Long factory’ around 7 pm prompted an immediate medical response.
However, the causality number reportedly changed to 100 later in the night. Dr. SS Lohchab, Director of PGIMS, Rohtak, confirmed that doctors at the Trauma Centre had been notified, and necessary arrangements were underway to address the situation. Emergency services, including fire engines and ambulances, swiftly responded to the scene. Police and administrative authorities also arrived to assess the situation.
