Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, including the Karaikal region, are bracing for significant rainfall from today until August 14 due to an ongoing cyclonic circulation.

According to the weather forecast, areas such as Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Namakkal, Tiruchi, Perambalur, Erode, Tiruppur, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Salem, Tirupattur, Karur, Ariyalur, and Pudukkottai are expected to experience rainfall today.

Looking ahead, the weather conditions will continue, with rain likely to affect the districts of Coimbatore, Theni, Nilgiris, Dindigul, Tenkasi, and Nellai on Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, the hilly regions of Tiruppur and Virdhunagar will also see rain.

In Chennai and its suburbs, the sky will be partly cloudy, with the potential for light to moderate rain in some areas. The local meteorological office has advised residents to stay prepared for these weather changes and to exercise caution during heavy rain periods.
