IIT Jammu Director: PM Modi Inaugurates Complex

Before his visit to Jammu today, Dr. Manoj Singh Gaur, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu, mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would officially unveil the IIT Jammu complex. He highlighted that the complex includes 52 laboratories, 104 faculty offices, and 27 lecture halls.

“The Prime Minister will inaugurate the complex in virtual mode on Tuesday. The academic complex comprises 52 labs, 104 faculty offices, and 27 lecture halls. The campus provides hostel accommodations for approximately 1,450 students. Currently, over 1,400 students are enrolled in various programs,” stated the Director of IIT Jammu to ANI on Monday.

Upon reaching the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, PM Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 32,000 crore. This includes inaugurating three new campuses of Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) – IIM Jammu, IIM Bodh Gaya, and IIM Visakhapatnam.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced that PM Modi will also inaugurate 20 new buildings for Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) nationwide. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for five Kendriya Vidyalaya campuses, one Navodaya Vidyalaya campus, and five Multipurpose Halls for Navodaya Vidyalayas.

Among the projects dedicated to the nation are the permanent campuses of IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, IIITDM Kurnool, Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Kanpur, and two campuses of Central Sanskrit University in Devprayag (Uttarakhand) and Agartala (Tripura). These educational endeavors, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi, have a combined worth of Rs 13,375 crore.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) campus in Jammu on Tuesday.
