The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported 226 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, with a daily positive rate of 0.12%, on Saturday.
India on Friday reported 243 new Coronavirus cases. With this, the number of active cases in the country reached 3,653, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country since the pandemic began in 2020 to 4,46,78,384.
According to the health ministry, a total of 4,41,44,029 persons have recovered since the outbreak began, with 179 recoveries occurring in the previous 24 hours.
Active cases account for 0.01 percent of all infections, with a recovery rate of 98.8 percent.
The daily positivity rate was 0.12%, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.15 percent, according to the ministry. Meanwhile, the death toll was 5,30,702.
In the previous 24 hours, the country did 1,87,983 tests, for a total of 91.07 crore tests.
More than 220.10 crore vaccine doses have been provided to eligible persons across the country as part of the countrywide immunisation programme. Approximately 91,732 dosages were provided in the previous 24 hours.
