IndiGo Airline Grapples With System Outage, Flight Movement Affected

IndiGo airline is currently facing a significant system outage that began around 12:30 PM on Saturday, impacting flight operations and ground services at various airports. This technical issue has resulted in difficulties for passengers attempting to board flights or book tickets, with many finding themselves stranded at the airport.

Numerous passengers have taken to social media platform X to express their frustrations, calling on the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to intervene. One traveler commented, “@IndiGo6E it’s great to invest in new aircraft, but how about enhancing ground services? The scene at the IndiGo counters at Bangalore T1 has been chaotic for the last hour. More counters are needed, especially for the elderly. @DGCAIndia, please take notice.” Another passenger added, “@IndiGo6E your services are down. I can’t book any Indigo flight on any platform, including your own!”

In response, IndiGo acknowledged the issue, stating, “Mr. Priyatham, we apologize for your recent experience with our user interface. Please DM us your PNR and a screenshot of the error so we can assist you.”

Later, the airline issued a statement on X: “We are currently experiencing a temporary system slowdown across our network, affecting our website and booking system. Customers may encounter increased wait times, including slower check-ins and longer queues at the airport.”

IndiGo assured passengers that their airport teams are dedicated to providing assistance during this challenging time. They expressed, “We are committed to restoring stability and normalcy as quickly as possible and regret any inconvenience caused. We appreciate your understanding and patience.”

The airline reiterated its commitment to minimizing wait times and improving the overall experience for affected customers, thanking them for their continued support.
