Indian Army celebrated International Youth Day with various activities to motivate and engage young minds across the North Eastern region, PRO Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.
A motivational lecture on career opportunities in the Armed Forces was held at Tuisomzang, Kangpokpi district of Manipur, emphasising the role of the Armed Forces in nation-building and various policies and procedures, including Agniveer, read the statement further.
To share the message of healthy and sustainable living, schoolchildren, alongside Army personnel, planted saplings, pledging their commitment to afforestation and combating global warming under the theme of ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’.
Interactive lectures were held in Phillobari Senior Secondary School, Tinsukia district in Assam, and GHSS, Bordumsa, Arunachal Pradesh. Sessions were attended by over 150 students who understood the role of youth in nation-building. The lectures highlighted various government schemes, such as the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), aimed at youth development, mentioned the statement further.
These initiatives showcased the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to engaging young minds and promoting holistic development in society. The day underscored the transformative power of youth and increasing harmony between the Army and local communities, contributing to peace-building, national integration, and youth empowerment.
