J&K Government on Monday, July 17 fired three state officials for allegedly collaborating with terrorist organizations supported by Pakistan.
The officials, reportedly, were found guilty of allegedly aiding these organizations by giving terrorists access to logistics, generating money for terrorism, and advancing the goal of secessionists.
J&K government terminated the three officers namely revenue officer Murawath Hussain Mir, police constable Arshid Ahmad Thoker, and PRO at Kashmir University Faheem Aslam after invoking Article 311(2)(c) of the constitution of India.
Reports claim that an inquiry clearly showed they were working for the Pakistan Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and terrorist organizations. It is suspected that PRO officer, Faheem Aslam was helping terrorist Shabir Shah before starting legitimate enterprises with seed money purposely received from Pakistan’s ISI.
Additionally, the accused had been posting on social media and writing to renowned newspapers. According to sources, there was little dispute about the texts’ objective, which was to advocate J-K’s secession from the Indian Union and legitimize terrorism there.
Arshid Ahmad Thoker, the second defendant, allegedly joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Armed Police in 2006 as a policeman. He collaborated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Over Ground Workers of Pakistan, which led to the accused acting as a conduit and a logistical supporter for the terrorist group.
Murawath Hussain Mir, the third defendant, was employed by the revenue division. He was allegedly a staunch supporter of secessionist beliefs and the point man for various terrorist organizations that have been outlawed, including Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), according to sources in the investigative team.
The three government employees were fired as a result of J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s “Zero Tolerance Against Terrorism” policy. 52 government employees have now been fired for alleged affiliations with terrorist organizations as a result of the most recent decree.
Three other officials were similarly fired by the J&K administration in February of this year for allegedly engaging in “anti-national activities” by using Article 311 of the Indian Constitution.
Including the most recent order, 52 government employees have now been fired for alleged affiliations with terrorist organizations.
