The recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, claimed by the Pakistan-supported The Resistance Front (TRF), has left the region in shock. Reports reveal the attack was meticulously planned to coincide with the schedule of a pilgrimage bus.

Despite a slight delay, the terrorists struck, resulting in the tragic loss of 9 lives and injuries to many others. President Droupadi Murmu and BJP leaders have expressed heartfelt condolences, condemning the attack and standing in solidarity with the affected families.

DIG Udhampur Reasi Range, Rayees Mohammad Bhat says, “…We have launched searches, following the leads which we have regarding the terror attack. 11 of our teams are active. All the forces are operating jointly…We have called a lot of people for questioning. According to the analysis & other clues, we think that Lashkar is involved in this…”

DIG Reasi Udhampur range Rayees Mohammad Bhat says, “We are following the leads which we have regarding the terror attack…As per eyewitnesses and our analysis there could be two terrorists… Search and investigation is underway…”

Manipur CM N Biren Singh says, “I strongly condemn the dastardly attacks on the security personnel who are carrying out their duties day and night in service of the state and the country. Visited the injured security personnel who are being treated at Shija hospital. They were ambushed on the way to Jiribam by armed miscreants. The assailants will be brought to justice.”

On the Reasi bus terror attack | Jammu and Kashmir National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah says, “Those who have been claiming normal situation here should answer this. We have always been saying that the situation here is not normal, we always said that guns did not come here due to Article 370 but the BJP people were claiming that this is due to Article 370…To silence this gun, an environment of dialogue will have to be created and for this, both the countries will have to play a role…”

Kirti Azad brother-in-law of the deceased says, “…Pawan Saini (his brother) had told that he is being taken to the hospital and he had no information about his wife (Pooja Saini) & two-year-old son (Livansh Saini). According to the latest inormation, Pooja & her son are dead. Their parents were also with them & we have information that even they are dead. I request the central & state government to make arrangements to bring them back. Strict action should be taken…”

On the Reasi terror attack, SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma says, “The militants fired upon the bus yesterday… 9 people are reportedly dead and 33 were injured and are being treated in different hospitals. As per eyewitnesses, 2 (terrorists) were there. Combing operation is underway in the area. 5 teams have been formed to search in the area.”
