Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, spoke to the mother of the 20-year-old lady who was killed after being dragged by a car for many kilometres in the national capital on Sunday.
The Chief Minister stated that the family of the deceased woman will be compensated in the amount of Rs 10 lakhs and that the woman will be granted justice.
“Talked to the victim’s mother. Will get justice for the daughter. Will field the biggest lawyer. His mother remains ill. Will get them fully treated. Will give a compensation of Rs 10 lakh rupees to the victim’s family. The government is with the victim’s family. If there is any need in future that also we will fulfill,” Kejriwal said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, the Post Mortem Examination (PME) ruled out any injuries suggestive of’sexual assault,’ according to the police on Tuesday.
On January 2, a three-member medical board administered the PME at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) in New Delhi.
Delhi Special CP Law and Order, SP According to Hooda, the tentative cause of death is “shock and haemorrhage owing to antemortem damage to the brain, spine, left femur, and both lower limbs,” according to the report.
All of the injuries are caused by the impact of blunt force, which can occur in vehicle accidents and dragging. He also stated that the study reveals that there is no evidence of sexual assault.
The final report will be received in due course. Further investigation into the case is underway.
