The nation, India, we call our home today, has been so because of the bravery that our soldiers in the Indian Army, Navy and Airforce have been displaying n the borders. Fighting for the safety and security for the natio and its citizens while risking their own lives at the frontiers is without a doubt the biggest sacrifice a soldier could give to protect our home. And, as India, today, on July 26, celebrates the Kargil Vijay Diwas to commemorate the lost lives of the brave soldiers who fought the intense battle of Kargil that was fought in the Kargil district in Ladakh and came out victorious against their Pakistani counterparts in the year 1999, on this very day, we bring to you a list of some of the Must-Visit Military Museums across India for you to get a closer look at our country’s history.
The history of the Indian air force is on display in the Air Force Museum at Palam Air Force Station, which is located outside of Delhi’s downtown. From the early days of the Indian Air Force, when it flew for the Royal Flying Corps, an air arm of the British Army during World War I, to the Kargil conflict, all of the displays are intricate and convey the tale. All aircraft types, uniforms, and pictures of Air Staff officers and IAF members slain in combat or during military operations are on display in the interior exhibit. The outside galleries feature military vehicles, planes, and heavy weapons.
All of the IAF’s equipment, including actual war trophies, radio detection and range apparatus, and commandeered military vehicles, has also been on display. Older aircraft that are normally inaccessible to the general public can be seen if you are fortunate enough to visit the museum on Annual Air Force Day.

The museum showcases a variety of aircraft operated by the Indian Navy throughout its history. These are exhibited outside at the museum’s open-air gallery.
