Kathua Police Release Sketches Of Suspected Terrorists Linked To Army Attack

BREAKING: The Kathua Police have released sketches of four terrorists believed to be involved in the recent attack on the army. The suspects were last seen in the dhoks of Malhar, Bani, and Seojdhar. A reward of ₹5 lakhs is being offered for information leading to the capture of each terrorist. Additionally, anyone providing credible information about the terrorists will also be suitably rewarded.

The Jammu region has been rocked by a series of terror attacks over recent months, marking a period of intensified violence. The wave of attacks began on June 9, when a pilgrim bus in Reasi was targeted by terrorists. The assault resulted in the tragic deaths of 11 passengers, occurring as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being sworn in for his third consecutive term in New Delhi.

The violence continued on July 8, when terrorists ambushed an Indian Army patrol in Machedi, Kathua. The ambush led to the deaths of five soldiers, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO). A week later, on July 15, another brutal encounter took place in the Desa forests of Doda district, where four soldiers, including a Captain, were killed by a separate group of terrorists.

The recent escalation of attacks came into sharp focus on July 26, the 25th anniversary of India’s victory in the Kargil War against Pakistan. During a visit to the Kargil War Memorial in Ladakh, Prime Minister Modi issued a stern warning to Pakistan, asserting that its “nefarious plans” would not succeed. The visit underscored India’s ongoing vigilance and commitment to countering terrorism and maintaining national security in the face of persistent threats.
