Rajasthan politics appears to have revolved around the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress for the last few decades, but Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) have increased their activism in Rajasthan this time before the assembly elections.
On March 11 and 12, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi will visit Jodhpur and Barmer, while AAP chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will visit Jaipur on March 13 to feel the political pulse through Tiranga Yatra.
Rajasthan will hold assembly elections at the end of the year. In such a situation, other political parties, in addition to the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP, are scrambling to find their political foothold in Rajasthan.
Asaduddin Owaisi recently visited Alwar and Tonk districts, and he will make his political debut on March 11 in Jodhpur, the hometown of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
On March 12, Owaisi will also take a tour of the Barmer district. On March 11, he will perform Jauhar prayers in Bamba, Jodhpur, through public relations.
On the same day, he will conduct public relations in Barmer’s Balotra assembly constituency before taking part in the Chadar Peshi programme at Sodiyar Dargah.
On March 12, he will address a public meeting in Gagaria, Barmer, and then proceed to Shiv Vidhansabha after performing Jauhar prayers.
Recently, Owaisi visited Rajasthan in connection with the burning of Nasir and Junaid of Bharatpur, and during this visit, he targeted the state’s Gehlot government and demanded 10% reservation for Muslims.
Similarly, the AAP is constantly focused on Rajasthan.
Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, and Bhagwat Singh Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, will lead the Tiranga Yatra in Jaipur on March 13.
This Tiranga Yatra is planned to run from Parkota to Albert Hall.
Through this programme, Kejriwal will investigate the possibilities for the Aam Aadmi Party in Rajasthan, as well as conduct the party’s election campaign for the upcoming assembly elections. Vinay Mishra, the AAP state in-charge, is constantly involved in the program’s preparations.
