On Saturday, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal declared his determination to rid India of the BJP by 2029 if the party secures power in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. During his speech in the motion of confidence, in the budget session of the Delhi Assembly, the Chief Minister of Delhi, said that AAP is the biggest challenger to the BJP, and that is why the members of AAP are under attack.
“The biggest challenger of BJP is Aam Aadmi Party. Today if BJP is scared of anyone, it is AAP…With utmost responsibility, I want to say that if BJP does not lose Lok Sabha elections in 2024, then AAP will make India free from BJP in 2029,” he said.

Despite holding a majority in the House, the AAP convenor introduced a vote of confidence, alleging that the saffron party was attempting to lure AAP’s MLAs to destabilize the Kejriwal government.
The assembly endorsed the confidence motion via a voice vote, with 54 out of 62 AAP MLAs participating. Kejriwal affirmed during the debate that no AAP MLA had switched sides. He explained that two MLAs were incarcerated, some were indisposed, and others were absent from the capital city.
Kejriwal asserted that the BJP thought it could finish the party by executing the plan to arrest him, and to this he asked, “You may arrest me but how will you finish Kejriwal’s thoughts?”
“The way they (BJP) have attacked the AAP and arrested our ministers; people across the country are aware of this. They think that people are fools, but they are not. Now discussions are being held in parks and people are asking ‘does PM Modi want to crush Arvind Kejriwal’? Even children are asking this question because they have arrested so many of our ministers,” Kejriwal said.
