Khan Sir Arrest Rumors Amid Bihar Civil Service Aspirant Protests, Police Respond

Renowned educator and YouTuber Faizal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, has been at the center of controversy amid ongoing protests by Bihar civil services aspirants. The demonstrations stem from allegations of “normalization” in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) preliminary exam process.

Reports claiming Khan Sir’s arrest went viral after a post on social media platform X, from a handle named “Khan Global Studies,” demanded his release. However, Patna Police refuted these claims, labeling them “baseless, misleading, and provocative.” Dr. Anu Kumari, Sub-divisional Police Officer of Sachiwalaya, clarified that the educator voluntarily visited Gardanibagh police station and was later escorted to his vehicle at his own request.

Protests Over Exam Rule Changes Intensify

The controversy erupted after aspirants accused the BPSC of altering rules for the upcoming 70th Preliminary Examination scheduled for December 13. Despite the Commission denying any such changes, the issue escalated, leading to a large protest near the BPSC office in Patna.

When the demonstration intensified, police resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse the crowds, further inflaming tensions. The incident sparked widespread outrage, with candidates and educators like Khan Sir and Guru Rahman demanding greater transparency and accountability from the BPSC.

Educators Voice Support for Aspirants

Khan Sir, known for his engaging teaching style and massive online following, has been vocal about the aspirants’ grievances. He, along with other educators, criticized the lack of communication from the BPSC and emphasized the need for fair treatment of candidates.

The protests highlight growing discontent among civil services aspirants in Bihar, who feel sidelined by procedural ambiguities. While police intervention has temporarily quelled physical demonstrations, the underlying issues remain unresolved, with aspirants continuing to demand clarity and fairness.
