‘Kharge And Rahul Must Apologize From Nation’: Ravi Shankar Prasad On Congress’s Unfulfilled Promises

BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad says, "Mallikarjun Kharge, apologize to the nation. And Rahul Gandhi, you should also come forward and apologize."

‘Kharge And Rahul Must Apologize From Nation’: Ravi Shankar Prasad On Congress’s Unfulfilled Promises

In a scathing critique, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has called out Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, accusing them of making lofty promises only to abandon them later. Referring to Congress President Kharge’s recent statement about aligning promises with budgetary provisions, Prasad questioned whether this message had been conveyed to Rahul Gandhi, known for frequent campaign pledges. He stated that Congress leaders make “announcements only to mislead the public for votes.”

Referring to recent events in Karnataka, where Congress announced five major “guarantees” during their election campaign, Prasad questioned the sincerity behind these pledges, noting discussions to re-evaluate the state’s free bus scheme, Shakti. He emphasized that the BJP, in contrast, fulfills its promises. Citing specific examples, Prasad pointed to the BJP’s initiatives, such as the direct transfer of ₹6,000 annually to 11 crore farmers and the distribution of 5 kg of wheat and rice to 80 crore people across the country, saying these programs have “transformed poverty levels.”

Prasad added, “Mallikarjun Kharge should apologize to the nation for misleading voters, especially in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh, where unfulfilled promises have caused disillusionment.” He warned that the Congress-led INDI Alliance is employing similar tactics in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.

With a direct message for Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, Prasad called for them to “apologize to the nation” for unfulfilled promises, particularly as Congress faces public scrutiny over incomplete projects and stalled initiatives across multiple states.
