The Kisan Mahapanchayat reveals that Punjab farmers have congregated at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi for the event organized by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Thursday. The purpose of this gathering is to urge the Centre to address various farmer demands, notably the implementation of a law guaranteeing minimum support prices (MSP).
Delhi Police have granted permission for the maha panchayat under the condition of a maximum gathering of 5,000 individuals, with restrictions on tractor trolleys and marches at the maidan. Despite these conditions, an estimated attendance of over 15,000 farmers is anticipated.
The SKM has further stated that more than 30,000 farmers from Punjab are expected to participate in the event in the national capital.

During the Kisan Mahapanchayat held at Ramlila Maidan, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh remarked, “Today marks the 61st day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Rahul Gandhi will be addressing public rallies and road shows.
Initially, farmers faced tear gas, but due to their persistent pressure, the government has relented. Finally, they have been granted permission to organize their ‘Mahapanchayat’.”
