Kolakata Rape-Murder Case: Kangana Ranaut Demands CBI Probe Into The Case; West Bengal Government Considers Action

Kangana Ranaut publicly reacted to the harrowing case involving the rape and murder of a female doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.

In a recent update on the rape and murder of a PG trainee doctor in Kolkata, the actress-turned-politician, Ranaut, took to her Instagram Stories to express her outrage over the tragic incident and call for justice. Describing the crime as “horrible & horrific,” Kangana urged that the case be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a thorough inquiry and that the perpetrator face severe punishment.

“The murder of a trainee woman doctor at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata is horrible & horrific. The semi-nude body of the woman post-graduate trainee doctor was found inside the seminar hall on Friday morning. She was brutally murdered, and her body bore multiple injury marks. The preliminary autopsy report indicated sexual abuse before her murder. I hope case is transferred to the CBI for a complete inquiry and the assaulter is punished harshly,” Kangana said.

This announcement aligns with the widespread protests by doctors and medical students nationwide demanding justice for the victim.

The victim, a postgraduate trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, was found sexually assaulted and murdered.
