The shooter accused of murdering NCP leader Baba Siddiqui has revealed that Lawrence Bishnoi gang had plans to kill Aftab Poonawala, who is presently on trial for the gruesome murder of his girlfriend, Shraddha Walkar.

The Plot to Kill Aftab Poonawala Exposed
Gautam had revealed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had plotted a conspiracy to kill Aftab Poonawala, said police sources. However, it was dropped as Poonawala was provided with more security. An official from the Mumbai Police said all these details have been passed on to the Delhi Police for deeper probe.
Aftab Poonawala is facing trial for the highly sensational murder of Shraddha Walkar. In May 2022, it was claimed that Poonawala strangled Walkar, chopped her body into 35 pieces, and later disposed of the remains across 18 days in different locations of Delhi.
The case shocked the nation and received massive attention through media publicity. A chargesheet running over 6,600 pages was filed by the Delhi Police against Poonawala on January 2023, formally charging him with murder.
Killing of Baba Siddiqui
On October 12, 2024, Baba Siddique was killed outside the office of his son, Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui, in Mumbai. Gautam is allegedly the mastermind behind the shooting incident.
It is stated that the motive behind Siddiqui murder could be linked to the affiliation he had with the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Bishnoi gang has been a sworn enemy of the actor as it has consistently included his name in its death list many times in the past.
Gautam said that the motive was to target those who are associated with Salman Khan as a mode of giving a message. However, Siddiqui’s friend Salman’s father Saleem Khan has out rightly rejected the rumors that Siddiqui was murdered as a revenge to the friendship with Salman.
