The Election Commission of India is set to announce the schedule for the 2024 Lok Sabha Election tomorrow. The announcement will take place at 3 pm, revealing the phase-wise schedule spread across seven phases starting in early April, similar to the last general elections. The counting of votes is expected to occur in May, with the tenure of the 17th Lok Sabha ending on June 16.

The General elections for 2019 were held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019. Following the election results, Narendra Modi took the oath of office as Prime Minister on 30th May before President Ram Nath Kovind.
