MEA’s 24-Hour Control Center Established Amid Israel-Hamas Conflict

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has established a 24-hour control center to oversee the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. This control center will play a crucial role in monitoring the situation and providing information and assistance to those in need. Furthermore, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, has also instituted a 24-hour emergency helpline, which can be reached at +972-35226748, +972-543278392, and cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in. Similarly, the Indian Representative Office in Ramallah has set up a 24-hour emergency helpline with the following contact details: +970-592916418 (also available on WhatsApp) and rep.ramallah@mea.gov.in.

Sanjeev Singla, the Indian Ambassador to Israel, assured Indian citizens in his message that the situation was under close observation, and the embassy was fully committed to their safety and well-being. He urged citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and adhere to local security guidelines while emphasizing the embassy’s readiness to provide assistance and updates.

Amid the Israel-Palestine conflict, the Indian diaspora in Israel expressed confidence in the Israeli military and their desire to live in peace. Residents, like Ilana Nagaukar in Ashkelon, expressed their belief in the Israeli military’s ability to protect them despite feeling vulnerable in the midst of recent missile strikes. They reiterated their commitment to making Israel their home and living peacefully.

Another individual of Indian origin, Rikki, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support, emphasizing the strong actions he has taken for the Indian community in Israel and for the nation as a whole.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Forces continued their offensive against Hamas, targeting the Islamic University in Gaza City, which they identified as a key training center for Hamas engineers. The Israeli Air Force noted that the university played a crucial role in the development and production of weapons for the terrorist organization.

Israeli Air Force Chief of Staff, Brig. Gen. Omer Tishler, stressed that the military was engaged in a multi-front operation and would remain committed to the ongoing efforts, emphasizing that they would operate day and night to address the situation.
