MP: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Honors Hockey Player Vivek Sagar Prasad

Following the Indian hockey team's win at the Paris Olympics 2024, Madhya Pradesh's chief minister Mohan Yadav met & congratulated the Indian hockey midfielder Vivek Sagar Prasad, who was part of the team that won a bronze medal after defeating Spain.

Following the Indian hockey team’s win at the Paris Olympics 2024, Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister Mohan Yadav met & congratulated the Indian hockey midfielder Vivek Sagar Prasad, who was part of the team that won a bronze medal after defeating Spain.

Talking about the meeting, Vivek Prasad expressing his happiness said ‘I am happy I could get to meet the Chief Minister. I was also welcomed warmly on my return to the state. The Chief Minister wished me luck for all my coming games. I hope he would give me blessings always and support me and the sports always, which will help our state rise in sports.’

Meanwhile at Paris Olympics 2024, India secured a 2-1 victory over Spain in hockey at the Yves du Manoir Stadium in France.

Despite trailing 0-1 after the first quarter, the Indian team triumphed in a thrilling atmosphere. Sreejesh, in his final game for India, was emotional as the team celebrated this historic achievement in Indian hockey.

After 52 years since the 1972 Munich Olympics, India won consecutive bronze medals, achieving this milestone under the guidance of coach Craig Fulton.
