Mumbai: Man Found Dead On Road Outside His Apartment In Goregaon

In Mumbai’s Goregaon, a tragic incident unfolded when a man was discovered dead on the road outside his apartment. When attempts to contact his wife went unanswered and their flat’s door was locked, locals found the key around his neck, worn like a locket. The grim discovery didn’t end there; inside the flat, his wife was found dead.

The horrifying sequence of events began early Friday morning when the body of 58-year-old Kishore Pednekar was found in front of Topiwala Mansion in Jawahar Nagar. Kishore, a gym equipment salesman, had reportedly jumped to his death. Local residents alerted the police, and Kishore was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

As the authorities attempted to inform Kishore’s wife, Rajshree, of his death, they received no response to their calls. Upon reaching their flat, the police found it locked from the inside and noticed two keys hanging around Kishore’s neck. Using these keys, they unlocked the flat, only to find a more disturbing scene inside.

Rajshree, a 57-year-old therapist, was found dead in the hall of their flat, having been strangled. She, too, was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. The initial assumption by the police was that Kishore had killed his wife before taking his own life.

Initial investigations indicate that Kishore, who was reportedly suffering from severe depression as evidenced by the numerous medications for depression and diabetes found in his flat, had meticulously planned the deaths. Before taking his own life, he booked a flight ticket from Delhi to Mumbai for his son and sent detailed information about his bank accounts to a relative via WhatsApp.

The couple’s son lives and works in Delhi. A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway.
