New arrangements made to facilitate Char Dham yatra this year

With the announcement of the date for the opening of the doors to the dhams of Kedarnath, Yamunotri, Gangotri, and Badrinath, preparations for this year’s “Char Dham Yatra” are in full swing. This year’s Char Dham Yatra will be made easier by new arrangements made by the government of Uttarakhand in light of last year’s record-breaking number of pilgrims. During the Char Dham Yatra, which is one of the most well-known Hindu pilgrimages that takes place annually in the Garhwal Himalayas, officials stated that plans will be made to manage the crowd of devotees.

State Tourism Secretary Sachin Kurve stated, “Arrangements are being made for better facilities and arrangements for the pilgrims coming for the Char Dham Yatra. He stated that they intend to implement a new system to aid devotees.

As per kurve a brand-new system for devotees will also be implemented this year. This will include distinct arrangements from registration to darshan in each of the four Dhams.” Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami told ANI earlier on Friday that this year’s sacred Char Dham Yatra, one of the most popular Hindu pilgrimages in the Garhwal Himalayas, will attract a record number of devotees.

According to CM Dhami, the Char Dham yatra saw a large number of devotees participation in 2022, and the government plans to improve facilities for pilgrims this year. In the meantime, Gangotri and Yamunotri will open on April 22 and Kedarnath Dham will open on April 26. The following morning, April 27, the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham will open.

According to Badrinath-Kedarnath officials, the time and date for the famous temple’s opening were decided at a religious ceremony on Basant Panchami at the former Tehri royal palace, as per tradition.

If you don’t already know, let us tell you that one of the four ancient places of pilgrimage known as the “Char Dham” is the Badrinath Dham. The others are Yamunotri, Gangotri, and Kedarnath. In Uttarakhand, it is in the town of Badrinath. Every year, from the end of April to the beginning of November, it is open for six months.

However, 15 days before the yatra begins, the state government will evaluate preparations. Officials will review the preparations to ensure that the issue of land subsidence does not affect the yatra because Joshimath is the first and last major stop before Badrinath.
