Cracking down on the Khalistani network, a close aide of Harwinder Sandhu (Lakhbir Landa) Tarsem Singh was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and was brought to India yesterday.
The brother of Lakhbir Landa and a member of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) was extradited from UAE on Friday.

He was brought to India following the completion of mandatory extradition procedures. As per the NIA investigation, Tarsem Singh was actively involved in arranging & providing terror funds to associates of Sandhu alias Landa and Rinda.
Further, he was also involved in the diversion of terror funds via various channels. Moreover, a non-bailable warrant was also registered against Tarseem Singh by NIA Court. A Red corner notice was also issued in his name by Interpol.
In addition, Singh is also wanted for his involvement in Mohali’s RPG attack, which was conducted on Punjab police office on May 2022.
Earlier on August 20, 2022, NIA lodged a case against various terror organizations. These terror organizations include Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), BKI, and the International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF).
These terror groups were behind the establishment of criminal Gangs. These Criminal Gangs were involved in the smuggling of arms, explosives and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) across the border.
Currently, NIA will continue its further probe into Singh’s activities and in broader terror network.
