NIA raids 25 places in Karnataka, Kerala, Bihar in Phulwarisharif PFI case

NIA raided approximately 25 locations in Karnataka, Kerala, and Bihar on Wednesday in connection with the Popular Front of India (PFI) Phulwarisharif case.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided approximately 25 locations in Karnataka, Kerala, and Bihar on Wednesday in connection with the Popular Front of India (PFI) Phulwarisharif case.

The raids were still ongoing at the homes of suspects linked to the conspiracy involving the involvement of PFI and its leaders and cadres in violent and unlawful activities, who had gathered in Patna’s Phulwarisharif area for that purpose.

Previously, six people were arrested and several incriminating articles and documents related to PFI were seized in the current case, which was initially registered on July 12 last year at Phulwarisharif police station in Bihar’s Patna district and re-registered on July 22 last year by the NIA.

The NIA also searched eight locations in Motihari, Bihar, on February 4 and 5, this year, and arrested two people who had arranged weapons and ammunition for the killing. Tanveer Raza, alias Barkati, and Md Abid, alias Aryan, were arrested.

The NIA then stated that a reconnaissance mission had already been carried out in order to carry out a target, and that the weapons and ammunition had been handed over to a PFI Trainer, Yakoob, who had been conducting Training Sessions for PFI cadres.
