The National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched seven places in Rajasthan on Saturday in connection with the Popular Front of India (PFI) investigation.
The agency searched the suspects’ homes and businesses in three locations in Kota, one each in the Rajasthan districts of Sawai Madhopur, Bhilwara, Bundi, and Jaipur. During the searches, the NIA stated they seized digital devices, an air-gun, sharp weapons, and damning documents.
The case is related to information acquired from trustworthy sources that PFI’s Sadiq Sarraf, a resident of Rajasthan’s Baran district, and Mohammed Asif, a resident of Kota, along with the outlawed outfit’s office bearers, members, and cadres, are engaging in illicit activities.
The NIA initially registered the case suo moto on September 19, 2022.
