Congress wants to working with China to destabilize the government as they are intolerant towards PM Modi, claimed Brij Mohan, Chairman, Standing Committee of Home Affairs and a senior BJP leader reacting to the exclusive Sunday Guardian report on the 2024 plot.
He said, “Congress is frustrated and along with other opposition parties, it is conspiring and coming up with new narratives like the BBC documentary. It is the main party that is working with China to destabilize the government due to its intolerance towards PM Modi.”
“Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister for the third time in 2024,” said Brij Mohan.
On the other hand, other BJP leaders also reacted to the report.
Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “India is reaching new heights under the leadership of PM Modi. There are some Modi-Virodhi powers that are working to spread corruption, racism and hooliganism in the nation and not let Narendra Modi come into power but such tactics will not work out against the PM.”
BJP PM Ramesh Bhiduri reacted by saying, “India is a very powerful nation and a leading economy in the world. Its technology is globally renowned. Foreign powers want to put PM Modi in a negative light, but the citizens of India have utter faith in him.”
BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi also reacted to the report saying, “Many foreign groups are working to not let Modi come back to power in 2024. BJP will not let these missions succeed. It is not the first time when foreign powers have interfered.”
According to an exclusive report by The Sunday Guardian, several small gatherings in London and Delhi, including in one of the embassies in New Delhi, have taken place, in which Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) since the last few months of 2021, and a few diplomats have met to discuss the broader theme of how to impact a government change in India in the May 2024 general elections.
The Sunday Guardian had been able to speak to some who have attended these meetings. According to them, when they were invited to be a part of this group through existing acquaintances, who were already a part of this group, they were not aware that the gathering was being convened to debate on the action needed to ensure a government change in New Delhi, which amounts to foreign interference in India’s internal affairs. They were under the impression that they were being invited to discuss the political situation in India.
At least three such meetings have taken place in Delhi as well in the last three months. One of the meetings was organized at a private residence in Moti Bagh in south Delhi. Another meeting was held at the embassy of a non-EU, non-Nato European country currently in the news. The embassy is located in south-west Delhi. The third meeting was held at the office of a lawyer and is situated among the many offices located on the Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.
