Union Minister Piyush Goyal graced the India News Manch held in the national capital on July 29 where he shed light on his epic win in the Lok Sabha Polls 2024, the continuity of policies and what new reforms will be implemented.
Piyush Goyal at the event said that non-BJP-ruled states were given priority in the textile park. He said that the BJP government never discriminates against the states. The Industry Minister also talked about Rahul Gandhi and said that why is Rahul Gandhi getting so angry. He further said that it is difficult to understand the ‘childish intelligence’ of the opposition.
Piyush Goyal, born is an Indian politician and chartered accountant. He has been serving as the Minister of Commerce and Industry since 2019. Additionally, he has held the positions of Minister of Textiles and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

At the event, Piyush Goyal revealed there will be a “greater thrust” of new reforms along with promising policy continuity. He revealed that they will soon be introducing BSIS standards so that 140 crore Indians get good quality footwear.
When asked how the changes in the policy continuity will take place since the opposition wants to boycott him in the parliament and boycott NITI Aayog meets, Piyush Goyal asserted, “I think, it will be a few people who may boycott a meeting like this. The people at large want good things to happen. Let me also assure you, except for one or two states, most other states despite being ruled by opposition are willing to implement the schemes implemented by the central government.”
Mr Goyal added, “This government has never discriminated and has always worked with every state with equal consideration. Most of our projects go through bidding or a challenge route and everyone has the right to participate and the best state and the best man wins. I can assure you going forward also PM Modi looks after 140 crore Indians irrespective of the state they may reside in. He believes until the entire nation develops it won’t be able to become a developed nation.”

Piyush Goyal on his plans to go big on private sector jobs shared, “Broadly these five schemes unveiled by honourable Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman aggregate to about 4 crore 10 lakh jobs largely in the private sector.” He stated, “The regular job growth is going to be an ongoing affair.”
Piyush Goyal Reacts To Opposition Claiming Ideas Were Copied For Budget
Piyush Goyal reacted to the opposition remarks on ideas being lifted for Union Budget 2024 asking, “Why is Rahul Gandhi getting furious about it?” He continued, “They realised the ideas they had were centered on drones. Our focus is on skill development. There is a big difference between the two.”
Mr Goyal said, “Balakbuddhi ko samajhna bada mushkil hai.” When asked how is that ideological different, Mr Goyal asserted, “PM Modi is trying to empower the people of India. Empower the women of India. What the congress has traditionally done is weaken the large section of the society make them dependent on government in some sense to build up their vote bank.”
Mr Goyal also shared, “There was a time when every scheme of their government was divisive in nature. What PM Modi did was he saturated schemes so that anybody who needs or deserves it can benefit from the scheme.”
“It is more of an understanding that every Indian does not accept charity for his livelihood. He prefers to be empowered and wants good quality of life for his family on the strength of his work,” said Piyush Goyal.

Piyush Goyal On Sharad Pawar’s Rude Comments
When asked whether it is an issue of survival or compulsion for Sharad Pawar after he used certain rude words while criticizing the government, Piyush Goyal at the India News Manch asserted, “Well, I think he made certain comments which were completely false.”
He added, “I think, in a way, he himself was a part of that whole effort in the mid 2000’s to put some of our leaders during the Congress government.”
