Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday at the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention in Indore that the Indian diaspora are India’s brand ambassadors.

Prime Minister Modi stated “I refer to the whole Indian diaspora as India’s brand ambassadors. You’re all ‘Rashtradoots’. Your responsibilities as India’s brand ambassador are many. You are a brand ambassador for Make in India, Yoga, the Handicraft sector, and India’s millets.” He went on to say that the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam may be seen in the foreign Indians.

“Today, we see crores of abroad Indians on the world map… the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is manifest,” stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi further added “India is seen with optimism and curiosity. India’s voice is being heard on the international scene. This year’s G20 will also be held in India. We don’t want it to be only a diplomatic event, but also one in which people can participate.”

PM also heaped plaudits on the young of terming them as the “skilled capital” for country.

He further remarked “India has the potential to become both a knowledge centre and a skilled capital. Our youngsters have talents, morals, honesty, and a strong desire to work. Our skilled capital has the potential to become the world’s growth engine.”

In relation to India’s G20 leadership, he stated that the government intends to make the summit more than just a diplomatic event, but also one in which people may participate.
