No-Confidence Motion: PM Modi Chairs BJP Parliamentary Party Meet Ahead Of Discussion In Lok Sabha

Ahead of the scheduled No-Confidence Motion in the Lower House of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the BJP’s Parliamentary Party meeting on Tuesday. Notable attendees included BJP national president and party MP JP Nadda. The gathering saw the presence of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Mansukh Mandaviya, and other ministers.

The NDA Government, led by Narendra Modi, is set to confront a no-confidence motion in Parliament. This motion has been put forth by the opposition parties united under the I.N.D.I.A bloc and has been accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, whose parliamentary membership was reinstated on Monday, is slated to initiate the discussion on the no-confidence motion. A designated span of 12 hours has been allocated for the deliberation.

YSRCP, Shiv Sena, JDU, BJD, BSP, BRS, and LJP have collectively been granted a total of two hours, with the distribution based on each party’s representation in the House. For other parties and independent MPs, a time frame of one hour and 10 minutes has been allotted.

On August 10, Prime Minister Modi will deliver his response to the debate on the no-confidence motion against the BJP-led NDA government. The motion was presented by Gogoi, prompted by the opposition’s insistence on an in-depth discussion regarding the violence in Manipur and a statement from the Prime Minister.
