Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually flagged off the indigenously-built Vande Bharat Express that connects Dehradun with New Delhi (Anand Vihar).
This is the first Vande Bharat train which has been introduced in Uttarakhand. The train has been built indigenously and is equipped with advanced safety features including the Kavach technology. It has world-class amenities and heralds a new era of comfortable travel experience, especially for the tourists travelling to the state.
In official release said that Indian Railways is on a quest to completely electrify rail routes in the country guided by the vision of the Prime Minister of providing cleaner means of public transport.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw were present at Dehradun railway station.
Dehradun-Delhi Vande Bharat Express Details
The IRCTC website stated that regular operations for the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express will begin on May 29th. The train will cover a distance of 302 kilometres in 4 hours and 45 minutes. Except for Wednesdays, the train will run every day of the week.
The fare for an AC chair car ticket from Delhi to Dehradun will be ₹1,065, while an executive chair car ticket will cost ₹1,890. The train with the number 22457, departing from Anand Vihar railway station, is scheduled to leave at 17:50 or 5:50 pm, and arrive at Dehradun by 22:35 or 10:35 pm.

- Departure from Dehradun at 7:00 am
- Arrival at Haridwar Junction at 8:04 am
- Arrival at Roorkee at 8:49 am
- Arrival at Saharanpur at 9:27 am
- Arrival at Muzaffarnagar at 10:07 am
- Arrival at Meerut City at 10:37 am
- Arrival at Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:45 am
