Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently utilized a virtual reality headset to inspect the Kashi Ropeway project in Varanasi. His visit to his parliamentary constituency included the launch of various development initiatives and engagements with the public.
Expressing optimism about Kashi’s development over the next five years, PM Modi highlighted the significance of projects like the Kashi Ropeway and the expansion of airport capacity. He envisioned Kashi emerging as a prominent sports city and emphasized its role in initiatives like Make in India and Aatmnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
PM Modi underscored the forthcoming opportunities for employment and skill development in Kashi, mentioning the completion of the National Institution of Fashion Technology campus as a significant milestone for youth and weavers in the region. Additionally, he highlighted Kashi’s evolution as a hub for health and education, noting the imminent establishment of a new medical college.
During his visit, PM Modi inaugurated the 647th birth anniversary celebrations of Sant Guru Ravidas and unveiled a statue in Varanasi. He also distributed prizes for Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita winners and launched two books on Kashi.
Furthermore, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 13,000 crore in Varanasi. These initiatives span various sectors, including road, rail, aviation, tourism, education, health, drinking water, urban development, and sanitation.
Additionally, the Prime Minister visited the Banas Kashi Sankul, a milk processing unit, and interacted with cow beneficiaries. He also facilitated the distribution of employment letters and GI-authorized user certificates, underscoring the comprehensive nature of the day’s development agenda.
