Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a vibrant roadshow in Gujarat’s Navsari district during his visit to the state on Thursday afternoon. The local residents of Navsari extended a warm welcome to the Prime Minister, with crowds gathering enthusiastically to cheer for him.
Among the attendees were thousands of Navsari residents, spanning all age groups from children to the elderly, who joined the roadshow in anticipation of catching a glimpse of Prime Minister Modi. Accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Navsari MP CR Patil, Prime Minister Modi waved to the spirited crowd during the roadshow.
During his visit to Navsari, the Prime Minister is slated to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for various significant projects spanning key sectors such as roadways, railways, energy, healthcare, internet connectivity, urban development, water supply, and tourism.
The roadshow was also marked by a special welcome from a large number of women BJP workers, leading the Prime Minister’s tour vehicle with raised slogans and fluttering flags. In a gesture of appreciation for the overwhelming reception, Prime Minister Modi greeted the gathering with folded hands as a sign of respect, waving to the crowd in acknowledgment.
Attendees at the event captured the memorable moments with selfies and photographs, cherishing the unforgettable experience of witnessing the Prime Minister in their midst. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Navsari MP later welcomed Prime Minister Modi on stage, presenting him with a flower garland and a memento.
In line with his schedule, Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh on February 22-23, 2024, includes a series of engagements aimed at furthering development and progress in these regions.
Earlier in the day, around 10:45 AM, the Prime Minister participated in the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) in Ahmedabad. Following this, at approximately 12:45 PM, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Mahesana to perform pooja and darshan at the Valinath Mahadev Temple.
Subsequently, by 1 PM, he engaged in a public event in Tarabh, Mahesana, where he dedicated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects valued at over Rs 13,500 crore. Later in the afternoon, around 4:15 PM, Prime Minister Modi reached Navsari, where he commenced multiple development projects exceeding Rs 47,000 crore by dedicating and laying foundation stones.
The Prime Minister’s itinerary also includes a visit to the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station by 6:15 PM. Additionally, he is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the country’s inaugural PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (MITRA) Park in Vansi Borsi village, Gujarat’s Navsari. This initiative, known as the ‘PM MITRA Park,’ aims to bolster the textiles sector by creating world-class industrial infrastructure, attracting significant investment, including foreign direct investment (FDI), fostering innovation, and generating employment within the sector.
The implementation of these visionary projects will be overseen by the Ministry of Textiles, marking a significant step towards propelling Gujarat’s and India’s development journey forward.
