Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a whirlwind tour of Gujarat on February 25, where he will inaugurate multiple developmental projects aimed at bolstering healthcare infrastructure and connectivity in the state.
In a significant boost to the region’s transportation network, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Sudarshan Setu bridge in Dwarka. Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi emphasized the iconic visuals of the bridge, stating that it stands as a model of engineering prowess and national pride. The city of Dwarka is abuzz with preparations akin to the festive spirit of Janmashtami, eagerly awaiting the Prime Minister’s arrival.
Simultaneously, Prime Minister Modi will make his way to Rajkot, where he will unveil the indoor-patient department of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Gujarat Minister Rushikesh Patel highlighted the significance of this inauguration, underscoring the commitment to enhancing healthcare access under the ‘Ayushman Bharat, Viksit Bharat’ initiative. Additionally, PM Modi will dedicate five new AIIMS facilities across different parts of the country, including Rajkot, Mangalagiri, Bathinda, Raebareli, and Kalyani.
The collective cost of these healthcare projects amounts to a staggering Rs 11,391.79 Crore, signaling a substantial investment in transforming India’s healthcare landscape. Alongside the inauguration of AIIMS facilities, Prime Minister Modi will also mark the commencement of various medical and nursing colleges nationwide, further strengthening the healthcare infrastructure.
This extensive itinerary follows Prime Minister Modi’s recent dedication, inauguration, and foundation stone-laying ceremonies for several developmental projects in Gujarat, underscoring the government’s relentless focus on bolstering infrastructure and healthcare services across the nation.
