PM Modi’s Decade-Long Rail Revolution: Uttarakhand CM Dhami Highlights Historic Expansion

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for more than two thousand railway projects, collectively valued at Rs 41,000 crore. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami lauded the PM’s unwavering leadership and foresight, highlighting the substantial expansion of railway connectivity and infrastructure over the past decade.

According to CM Dhami, the newly launched projects include the foundation stone for the redevelopment of three key railway stations in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand – Kotdwar, Kashipur Junction, and Tanakpur. Speaking about the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, he emphasized its commitment to meeting long-term station needs and passenger requirements by modernizing railway stations comprehensively.

“The gift of 554 Amrit Bharat stations by PM Narendra Modi signifies not only enhanced railway connectivity but also a modernized approach to station facilities. The redevelopment ensures better public amenities, reflecting the transformative vision of PM Modi and contributing to the evolving identity of New India,” stated Chief Minister Dhami.

During the inauguration event, PM Modi expressed his enthusiasm for the rapid progress and scale of infrastructure development. Referring to the symbolic nature of the event, he commended the work culture of ‘New India,’ emphasizing the nation’s shift towards ambitious goals and their swift realization.

“Today’s India operates with unprecedented speed and scale, transcending small aspirations to dream big and achieve those dreams promptly. More than two thousand railway projects are either inaugurated or have their foundation stone laid today, setting a remarkable pace for the upcoming third term of the government starting in June,” declared PM Modi, exuding confidence in the government’s ongoing and future endeavors.

As a cornerstone of the initiative, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, marking a substantial leap forward in the augmentation of India’s railway infrastructure.
