Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits the poll-bound state of Karnataka to inaugurate a new Metro line in Bengaluru and a free-of-cost medical college and attend a mega BJP rally in Davangere.
To commemorate the conclusion of the BJP’s “Vijay Sankapla Yatra,” the party’s campaign rally, PM Modi made a visit to Davangere, the town of the district headquarters, and gave a public speech there.
Modi stated at the Vijay Sankalp Yatra Maha Sangam that opportunistic and egotistical governments had long ruled Karnataka, affecting the state.
Modi further stated, “That’s why the state’s development depends on the BJP’s stable governance.”
The Prime Minister gave a warm welcome to the crowds that had gathered for his rally, along with former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. According to BJP officials, 10 lakh individuals were anticipated to participate.
PM Modi gave the official opening speech at Whitefield Metro Station for the 13.71-kilometer Reach-1 extension project that is part of Bangalore Metro Phase 2.
Built at a cost of around Rs 4,250 crore, the Metro is expected to enhance ease of mobility and reduce traffic congestion in the city, the release said.
PM Modi paid homage to Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the 19th Diwan of the Mysore Kingdom, at his birthplace at Muddenahalli, in the Chikkaballapur district.
Modi visited the museum that is devoted to M Visvesvaraya, a visionary, civil engineer, administrator, and politician, in the company of Bommai, and then laid floral tributes at his monument.
PM Modi also unveiled the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR) and the Sri Sathya Sai Rajeswari Memorial Block, a free medical college and hospital.
According to the release, the institute, which is located in a rural area, will begin operations in the academic year 2023 and provide everyone with free medical education and high-quality medical care.
