Prime Minister Modi will begin a two-day visit to various parts of the country on Monday to inaugurate several developmental schemes, starting from Madhya Pradesh.
The Prime Minister will travel to Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu during his tour. PM Modi will begin his almost 5,000-kilometer journey today by attending National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa, where he will lay the foundation stone and launch projects worth over Rs 17,000 crore.
Prime Minister Modi will address all Gram Sabhas and Panchayati Raj Institutions around the country during the event. PM Modi will also launch a Panchayat-level integrated eGramSwaraj and GeM platform for public procurement. As per Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the combination of eGramSwaraj and the Government eMarketplace (GeM) enables Panchayats to acquire products and services through GeM while using the eGramSwaraj platform.
The Prime Minister will distribute around 35 lakh SVAMITVA Property Cards to beneficiaries. After the programme, around 1.25 crore property cards would have been distributed across the country under the SVAMITVA Scheme, including those distributed.
Taking a step towards accomplishing the aim of creating ‘Housing for All’, Prime Minister will participate in a function marking the ‘Griha Pravesh’ of more than 4 lakh beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin.
He will also launch and lay the groundwork for many railway projects totaling approximately Rs 2300 crore. Along with this PM will inaugurate 100 percent rail electrification in Madhya Pradesh, as well as several doubling, gauge conversion, and electrification projects.
The Prime Minister Modi will lay the groundwork for the redevelopment of Gwalior station. He will also lay the groundwork for projects worth approximately Rs 7,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
“From Khajuraho, he will travel to Kochi, covering an aerial distance of about 1700 kilometres, to participate in the Yuvam Conclave. Next morning, Prime Minister will travel from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram, covering a distance of about 190 Km. Here, he will flag off Vande Bharat Express and also dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various projects. From here, he will travel to Silvassa via Surat, covering about 1570 kilometres. There, he will visit NAMO medical college and will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various projects,” said the officials.
PM Modi will then proceed to Daman for the inauguration of the Devka seafront, after which he would travel 110 miles to Surat. “From Surat, he will travel back to Delhi, adding another 940 km to his travel schedule,” officials told.
The Prime Minister Modi will cover an astounding aerial distance of about 5,300 kilometres as part of his jam-packed programme.
