An official stated on Wednesday that the Punjab police had made significant progress in solving a gun house theft case and had taken into custody two people who were carrying firearms and ammunition.
Gaurav Yadav, the Director General of Police in Punjab, commented on X social media, saying, “After a hot pursuit spanning more than a thousand kilometers through five states and union territories, Amritsar Police proactively cracks a gunhouse theft case and recovers 12 weapons along with 22 cartridges from 2 accused.” Punjab Police in India is fully dedicated to CM Bhagwant Mann’s mission.”
Earlier, according to DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav, the Amritsar Police arrested a drug smuggler after finding 5 kg of heroin in his possession, breaking up an international drug trafficking organization supported by the US.
The drug smuggler that was apprehended is Gurpreet Kumar, also known as Deep, a 27-year-old resident of Hoshiarpur’s New Shanti Nagar Bhajwara.
Additionally, a car that was being utilized to supply heroin was seized by police officers.
He claimed that when the arrested accused was questioned, they revealed that they were getting the heroin shipment from across the border at the US-based Jasmeet alias Lucky’s orders.
