The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, will resume from Anand Bhawan in Prayagraj on Sunday, following an abrupt halt in Varanasi prompted by public protests over the deaths caused by wild elephant attacks in his constituency of Wayanad, Kerala.
Congress general secretary, Jairam Ramesh, announced the urgency of Rahul Gandhi’s presence in Wayanad via social media, stating that he would depart from Varanasi at 5 PM and resume the yatra at 3 PM the next day in Prayagraj.
Today, Rahul Gandhi will lead the yatra from Anand Bhawan at 3 pm, passing through Katra, Netram, Lakshmi Talkies, Teliarganj, and Malaka, Soraon area of the city. The yatra will stop at Harisenganj in the evening and continue to Sakramau in Mauaima for an overnight stay before entering Pratapgarh district the following day.
During the Varanasi rally on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the importance of unity, stating that true devotion to the country lies in bringing people together. He highlighted the absence of hatred throughout the yatra, even welcoming members of the BJP and RSS, and stressed the significance of collaboration for national progress.
Addressing the issue of unemployment, Rahul Gandhi shared the story of a young man’s struggle and emphasized the injustice faced by youth despite investing in education. He pledged to raise awareness and advocate for their rights.
