On Mahashivratri in Kota, Rajasthan, 14 children reportedly suffered electric shock injuries during a procession, with three of them in critical condition, as revealed by reliable sources. The incident occurred as the children, aged 10-16, were part of the ‘Shiv Barat’ procession on Mahashivratri morning.
The cause of the electric shock was attributed to contact with a high-tension power line passing overhead in the Sakatoura area under the Kunhari police station. The two critically injured children suffered 50 percent and 100 percent burns while the remaining victims had burns of less than 50 percent.
