Rajasthan: PM Modi Launches Projects Worth Rs 7,000 Cr

Prime Minister Modi launches a series of development projects worth over Rs 7,000 crores during his visit to Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Among the key projects, he dedicated the Mehsana-Bhatinda-Gurdaspur Gas Pipeline, promoting a gas-based economy with a construction cost of about Rs 4,500 crores. Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated an HPCL LPG Plant in Abu Road, set to bottle and distribute 86 lakh cylinders annually while significantly reducing CO2 emissions.

In infrastructure development, a 4-lane road on NH-12 (New NH-52) was unveiled, costing over Rs 1,480 crores and aimed at streamlining transportation of mine produce from Kota and Jhalawar districts. The foundation stone was also laid for expanding the Railway Over Bridge (ROB) in Sawai Madhopur, a move expected to alleviate traffic congestion.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister inaugurated railway projects, including the doubling of the Chittorgarh-Neemuch Railway line and the electrification of the Kota-Chittorgarh Railway line, with a combined cost exceeding Rs 650 crores. These projects aim to enhance rail infrastructure and boost tourism to historic sites in Rajasthan.

Additionally, tourism facilities developed at Nathdwara under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme were dedicated. Nathdwara, a significant religious center, received a modern ‘tourist interpretation and cultural center’ for visitors to experience the life of Shrinathji. Lastly, PM Modi inaugurated the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Kota.

Following his Rajasthan visit, the Prime Minister proceeded to Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
